Volunteers Play a Vital Role Locally and Nationally - This campaign is all about you.....
This isn't your typical campaign, and this isn't your typical volunteer form.
What to expect: It will take time to build the campaign's operation, and the need for volunteers with certain skills or in certain locations will emerge earlier than others. By sharing a little about yourself here, you're saying that you're ready, willing and standing by, and your information will be accessible to the relevant campaign staff at headquarters and across the country. You will be contacted as needs arise.
What not to expect: This campaign can only succeed if you take its future into your own hands. We've started to provide many of the tools for you to do just that, and the most immediate impact you can make locally and nationally will always be by plugging into the My.BarackObama.com community. Don't just fill out this volunteer form and wait -- fill it out to let us know more about you, but then get started on your own at My.BarackObama.com.

Camp Obama Training
Are you ready to change the way this country is governed? Are you tired of politicians making decisions that ultimately leave you and your family worse off—not better off? Are you tired of politics as usual “inside the Beltway” aka Washington, DC? Do you want to help restore this country’s reputation around the world? Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and make a change?
Well, if you are, then you’ve come to the right place—Camp Obama! Camp Obama is a 2-day campaign training session for people who are “ready to shake up the world!” We are looking for a few good people—people who want to restore our country’s reputation both at home and around the world by working hard to elect Barack Obama, our next President.
The purpose of Camp Obama is to help train volunteers to become “Organizers for Obama.” Our 2-day sessions include the basics of political campaign organizing and some of the same basic tools of community organizing Sen. Obama used while organizing on the South Side of Chicago. You will learn how to canvass, phone bank, and recruit other volunteers who are also ready for change. You will learn how to use some of the amazing new tools available to help modern campaigns be more efficient and effective at reaching voters. At camp, you can expect to actively participate in two full days of training sessions, discussion and hands-on exercises.
If you are ready to roll up your sleeves and work hard to create the changes you want to see—and can commit to at least 10 hours per week—sign up below. Someone from the campaign will be in contact with you soon with a series of follow-up questions to determine if Camp Obama is right for you.
“This campaign has to be reclaiming the meaning of citizenship restoring our sense of common purpose, and realizing that few obstacles can withstand the power of millions of voices calling for change.”
--Sen. Barack Obama
